Just a short essay on desire. Why do I want to talk about desire. Why do I choose this topic?? Maybe I desire something right now. What? Who? Let it be my secret..waseyh (well known terms used by my Sabahan friends..hehehe)..ok, straight to the point. What is desire?? Kumpulan Desire?? Wrong at all. Desire is a yearning, longing for something or somebody. We all desire something; the desire to own a car may make us work harder, the desire to go on a dream holiday may make us save more money as well as to possess one’s heart may make us behave gracefully such as talk nicely, give smile (something that utterly difficult to me to do) and etc . According to Liza Angelo Abdullah (2001) in his book ‘We have a choice’, as long as we control our desire, there is really no harm in them. Nevertheless, when we let desires master ourselves, we will become blind and in our blindness, we are unaware of anything else.
p/s: Don’t be upset if you are not able to fulfill all your desires as what we acquire in life is God’s job. Just put your best effort in everything you do and your desire can be achieved soon. One more thing, don’t forget the Almighty in your journey to achieve your desire ya! =)
